Meet the team who makes Takahashi Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Ann Arbor.


Dr. Joyce Takahashi

Dr. Joyce Takahashi is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. She graduated with honors and completed an internship at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Dept of Ophthalmology. She served 2 terms on the Michigan State Board of Optometry, a position appointed by the Governor of Michigan. She is a longstanding member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Association of Optometry

Dr. Takahashi has been in private practice since 1985 serving the eye care needs of Ann Arbor residents. Her specialties include pediatric vision care, corneal refractive therapy, comanagement of laser vision correction, and cataract surgery. She is also experienced in the evaluation and treatment of Post Trauma Vision Syndrome for patients who have experienced a traumatic brain injury. Ocular disease management of conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes, and dry eyes is another aspect of eye care she enjoys and practices daily.


Dr. Parker Johnson

Dr. Parker Johnson is a graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. Coming from a family of optometrists, he takes pride in following in the footsteps of his father, brother, and sister-in-law

Dr. Johnson practices Full Scope Optometry, which includes diabetic eye exams, evaluation and management of glaucoma and macular degeneration, and surgical comanagement of cataracts and laser vision correction. He is knowledgeable about current contact lens modalities including corneal refractive therapy and myopia management for children. He believes every patient deserves the best eye care experience and strives to fulfill all of their vision-related needs. He would like each of his patients to leave his exam room delighted, educated, with a feeling they have gained something from their encounter
